As a professional writer, I have helped give voice to the stories of refugees from war-affected communities, victims of sex trafficking and families in extreme poverty in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. I have written from bars, brothels, slums, and hilltribe villages throughout Asia.

My debut memoir, Darling Humans, is the story of living for a year in the redlight party precinct of Kings Cross, Sydney. Darling Humans explores addiction, homelessness, mental illness, and the beauty of being human. It also uncovers my own trauma and dependency issues. Darling Humans will be published in August 2025 by Red Thread Publishing.

Bringing my authentic self to the page required more courage than I knew I had. I worried: What would people think of me?  Fears littered my path and threatened to trip me up and shut me up.

Ultimately, I had to make a stand for my story, and become a foot soldier for my truth. And so, I set my face to wind and made a decision to bring the best and worst of me to the light.

Shame causes us to hide out. Truth telling brings freedom, healing and self-sovereignty.

Words are my medium: they create miracles and move hearts. I have witnessed it.  But I have also walked the path of struggling to speak my truth. I have spent a lifetime summoning the courage to be authentic with my voice. I am well qualified to walk with people as they find their voice and bring their stories into the light.

Unearth Your Story is the workshop I have created to give strength to the voices of those who want to bring their stories into the world.

The creative life is full of beauty and small moments of noticing. I love living out of that wellspring. 

My heart is homesick for stories. I am full of longing; satiated when words are carried from the shadows into the light, witnessed as meaning.

When someone believes in us and truly witnesses us, anything is possible. I am here to do that for you.
